Today is Day 43.
Weight goal - 145.6 or lower
Actual weight - 145.4
Blood glucose goal - 89 or lower
Actual blood glucose - 96
Today is a Fast Day.
For me, that means that all I will have today is water, coffee, tea, or broth, all without caloric sweeteners or fat. Each day, I will weigh in, check my fasting blood glucose, find out if I will feast or fast that day, update my chart and post it here on the big blog. I'm posting it to motivate myself not to give up, and if I think that anyone is looking at this, it will help to keep me accountable.
I gained almost two pounds and my BG is too high to let me eat today. I ate the toppings off half of a medium pizza last night, and had about a half cup of fresh blueberries with cream. Between those two things, it's hard to tell which one is the culprit. Oh, well, today is a good day to fast anyway to get my weight back to where it belongs. I don't like being so close to my weight goal!
42 DAYS DOWN AND 49 DAYS TO GO
32 FEAST DAYS AND 11 FAST DAYS - FASTING 26% OF THE DAYS
8.6 POUNDS GONE AND 9.4 POUNDS TO GO
48% OF THE WAY TO MY GOAL AFTER 47% OF THE DAYS
AVERAGE WEIGHT SO FAR - 147.8 AVERAGE BLOOD GLUCOSE SO FAR - 87
32 FEAST DAYS AND 11 FAST DAYS - FASTING 26% OF THE DAYS
8.6 POUNDS GONE AND 9.4 POUNDS TO GO
48% OF THE WAY TO MY GOAL AFTER 47% OF THE DAYS
AVERAGE WEIGHT SO FAR - 147.8 AVERAGE BLOOD GLUCOSE SO FAR - 87
I
made a few charts to track my progress. The orange lines are my goals. The blue lines are my actual results. The
last chart is a little heat map to show at a glance how often I actually
have to fast to achieve the results I am after.

I'm curious (besides the sickness you've been dealing with) how are you feeling with all this fasting? better? stronger? same ol' same ol'??
ReplyDeleteI'm really proud of you!
(regarding body shape/compositon ~ I'm thicker than you in lots of areas, esp arms, thighs and booty. Here is a fitness update post from almost exactly two years ago. Things haven't really changed much at all since then : / http://pursuingjoy.blogspot.com/2014/02/progress-at-snails-pace.html )
I just took a peek at your blog, Tracy. You are a quilter! So am I! As a matter of fact, I have a long arm quilting business. If you would like to visit my site, go here: http://rebeccasquilting.blogspot.com/
