This is just a little visual aid to show that tracking your body fat (by using a tape measure) will give you a more accurate picture of your progress than just getting on the scale every day.
By looking at these charts, you can see that, especially near the end of the chart (on the right) it was common for my body fat to go down even as my weight was going up. The scale does not tell the whole story! Here is a chart that shows my scale weight and my body fat percentage from March 8 through March 26. What a difference!
If all I was going by was my weight, I would think that I am making no progress.
