TIME FOR A CHANGE

I've made a lot of choices for change in my life, and some changes have been forced upon me against my will.  This change is one of those.

For the past few weeks, I have been having hot flashes off and on all day long, night sweats, no "time of the month", and I have pretty much lost the ability to sleep.  I have forgotten a few important details in the past week as well.

I am 55 years and 3.5 months old, and someone has stolen my estrogen!  I think this is menopause, and it is no doubt overdue.  I guess time will tell.

I have a call in to my bio-identical hormone replacement doctor to see if she wants to make any changes to my hormone replacement.  I also need to get another testosterone pellet implanted.

Having this change so suddenly may be part of the reason why I have recently gained weight and have had such a problem getting rid of it.

MY MOM AND ME - WE'RE BOTH 50 YEARS OLD!

Well, at least in these photos, we are.  The one of my mom was taken in 1984, and mine was taken in 2005.  Today marks 15 years since she died the day before her 62nd birthday.  She had suffered with ALS for five years.  It's hard to believe that I am now only two years younger than she was when she became ill.

THE 6-WEEK CURE - THE "SHAKE WEEKS" RESULTS


 I finished Weeks 1 and 2 of The 6-Week Cure For the Middle-Aged Middle. 

Each day, I had three shakes and one meal.  I was prepared to be hungry a lot, but was surprised that I didn't really experience any real hunger until 15 minutes or so until a meal or shake.  Next week, I will eat three regular meals of whole foods.  It was nice not to have to track or think about food, but I am looking forward to eating regularly again!
