OCTOBER 15, 2009 - AND IN MY SPARE TIME...
A few weeks ago we were in the village next to ours, taking a walk, when we noticed that some of the houses had signs in the lawn that they had won an award in 2009 for beautification. I though how neat it was and wouldn't it be fun to have that honor.
A week later, someone knocked on our door and told us that our village has that program, too, and that our house had won one of the awards given out in 2009!
We are so delighted and honored! I had worked very hard this spring and summer, planting annuals and perennials, and hanging baskets and such. Tonight, we met with the other award winners and received our certificate and lawn sign from our mayor.
There are around 5,000 homes in our village, and only 63 were given the award this year.
But you know the most important part? I'm wearing size 6 slacks in this photo!
I have to admit that it was pretty sweet walking up in front of a crowd of people, knowing that I looked normal weight! In the past, I would have been embarrassed, wondering if people thought I looked fat. I know, I know! Everyone is not thinking about me and my weight!

OCTOBER 9, 2009 - I BOUGHT SIZE 6 CLOTHES!
This photo was taken at my grandson's baptism.
A few days before, I was dressed in business attire for a meeting, and my slacks were so loose, the hems were dragging on the ground and getting wet from the rain! So I stopped at Kohl's on the way home to buy some slacks.
The slacks I was wearing were size 10, but when I bought them several months ago, I should have gotten size 12, because they were very tight. And now they are falling off!
Anyway, I tried on a size 8 slack, and it was too big!!!! The size 6 was a little too small, though, so I got the size 8.
I did, however, buy 2 skirts that are size 6! WOO HOO!
The last time I was a size 6, I was in grade school!

OCTOBER 4, 2009 - WEEK 29 RESULTS
This week I lost 2.6 pounds.
Beginning weight – 143.4 pounds
Ending weight – 140.8 pounds
Here is an average of my daily food intake for this past week:
1415 Calories
97.3g Fat (61.9%)
95.6g Protein
39.2g Carbs
21.3g Fiber
17.9g net carbs, of which 14.2g came from veggies
On September 13, 2009, I had decided to go back to what worked before – 1,400 calories, 66% fat and 10 net carbs. I lost a little, I gained a little. Over the next few months, I experimented with increasing and decreasing calories, net carbs and fat percentages. But I was on a true plateau, and no matter what I did, I could not lose weight. I stayed around 143 pounds for 8 months, which is 13 pounds over my goal, and 20 pounds over what the doctor wanted me to lose.
What I did not know was that the testosterone cream was not working for me, and my testosterone level had gone way down again. And the further it went down, the more muscle I was losing and the more fat I was gaining. So even though my weight was staying the same, I was getting fatter. My testosterone was so low that I could no longer lift weights and I gave up in October 2009.
